By John Wallace

Carla LippoldtAssociated Imaging Services (AIS) Office Manager Carla Lippoldt is the glue that helps hold the organization together.

Carla is skilled in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, payroll, office administration and customer service. Her strong accounting acumen has been developed over years of service after earning a bachelor’s degree focused in accounting, business administration and management from Wichita State University.

I have worked for AIS for almost four years as the Office Manager,” Carla says. “I enjoy overseeing the entire process from job start to finish at AIS – including both equipment sales as well as the service department. I am also responsible for many behind the scenes recordings and reporting which I also enjoy.”

When asked to describe her role at AIS she gave a thoughtful answer.

My role at AIS seems more like an ‘Operations Manager’ than an Office Manager. My main focus is working to ensure everything operates in the smoothest and most efficient manner possible,” Carla explains. “We are unique in the way that on a normal day most employees aren’t physically in the office. Nuclear and ultrasound techs are on the road or on location either fixing an issue or preforming routine maintenance. The sales team is on the road as well meeting with customers, both existing and new.”

My job is to make sure the communication is clear and concise between employees and especially from the customer,” she adds.

Here at AIS, we have grown as a company working through the pandemic. I am proud of how forward thinking we have been during the past two years, and I am excited that we continue to look for ways to better serve our customers and streamline operations,” she continues. “Our customers remain our number one priority!”

AIS Vice President of Sales and Marketing Grant Norris explains what she means to the company and how she brightens everyone’s day.

“Carla is the glue to our company, she wears so many hats from payroll, invoicing, being the pleasant voice that answers the phone when our customers call in and much more,” Grant says. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen Carla in a bad mood, she is such a positive person to be around!”

“AIS is very lucky to have Carla as our office manager, we couldn’t find a better person to be our leader here at headquarters,” Grant adds.

Away from work, Carla enjoys biking, walking, quilting and playing the piano. She is also a fan of the WSU Shockers! A few of her biggest adventures include Biking Across Kansas (BAK) and a Guaymas mission trip. Her favorite vacation spot is Ireland. Carla’s top food choices include vanilla ice cream and barbecue. She avoids coconut.

She is also big on family.

“I grew up in rural Kansas with parents who taught me the value of hard work, compassion and service to others. I often see their positive influence in my everyday life. I’ve played the piano at church since I was in high school, and also loved volunteering at the Lord’s Diner,” Carla says.

“I’ve been married to my husband PK for 3 years. Between us we have 6 children and 9 grandchildren. My girls live in Phoenix and Amsterdam. PK’s kids are in Texas, Wichita and Eudora, Kansas, so we spend a lot of time visiting and keeping up with their activities,” she adds.
