Open Door PCC Highlights Their Alpinion i7 Portable Ultrasound System

By Erin Register

Open Door Pregnancy Care Center (PCC), located in Hutchinson, Kansas, serves primarily the Reno County community, as well as clients from communities all over central Kansas. Open Door and their ICU Mobile unit provide pregnancy tests, limited obstetrical ultrasounds, parenting classes, baby boutique items, post-abortive healing and much more.

Open Door PCC recently purchased a brand new Alpinion i7 portable ultrasound system from Associated Imaging Services (AIS) for their practice. Neeley Pickard, Open Door PCC Executive Director, provided insight into what their facility’s experience has been like with this new piece of equipment in a question-and-answer interview.

Q: Can you tell us more about the imaging services you offer?
A: We generally offer a limited obstetrical ultrasound to any client with a positive pregnancy test that is between 6-16 weeks in her pregnancy.

Q: How long have you had your Alpinion i7 portable ultrasound system? What has been your experience so far?
A: We just bought our ultrasound system at the end of 2019, and it has been a great experience. The picture is so much clearer than our last machine, and our medical team is finding it relatively easy to use.

Q: How has having this system affected your center?
A: This system is able to provide a clear picture of the baby and heartbeat for our clients to see.

Q: What has your service experience been like with AIS?
A: Service with AIS has been great!

Q: How has your relationship with AIS benefited your health center?
A: Our relationship with AIS has benefited our pregnancy center because we have someone that we can trust to call when we need help with our machine, whether it be maintenance, questions regarding use, upgrades, etc.

Q: Would you recommend AIS to other physicians/centers?
A: We would definitely recommend AIS.
