We found out more about April via a quick Q&A.
Q: How long have you worked at AIS?
April: I began working full time for AIS in June 2014, prior to that I did a few contract jobs for them. So, I have been with the company in one way or another for about 10 years. My original job title was Ultrasound Applications Specialist, now it is Ultrasound Applications Specialist, Sales, and Marketing.
Q: What do you enjoy the most about your job?
April: I love the variety of work and opportunities for learning, and teaching, that come with this position. I am a people person, and this role allows me to meet and work with new people all the time.
Q: What makes working at AIS so great?
April: AIS is a very family-oriented company with their employees’ best interests at heart. Mark, Grant and Mike have always been supportive of me finding opportunities to increase my knowledge and do my job even better!
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
April: I enjoy spending time with my family and extended family. Our youngest is a junior in high school and we enjoy supporting him in all his endeavors. I have two cats, Luna and Mochi, and I spoil them horribly! Mochi adopted me while I was on a business trip in Houston. He spent a couple of nights in hotels and logged about 600 miles in the transit on our way back to Kansas! I love to spend time in my craft room, but tend to think up projects more than complete them!
Q: Can you tell me about your family?
April: I am the youngest of three children and the only girl in the family. My brothers would say I was spoiled but having two older brothers helped me learn to be tough! My parents have always been very supportive and taught us the value of hard work and always doing your best regardless of the task. When I was young my dad was the ambulance chief in our small town, and I believe that is what drew me to health care. My mom was a hard worker and instilled an excellent work ethic in both my brothers and me. I am blessed to still have both of my parents (and bonus parents) my brothers, many nieces, nephews, and even great nieces and nephews to enjoy holiday gatherings with!
Q: How do you describe your job/duties/role at AIS in your own words?
April: My position at AIS involves many different jobs/roles. While my primary role is ultrasound applications, I also provide sales support and am on the marketing team. I can also help with ultrasound service requests when needed and offer phone support as well.
Q: Finally, is there anything you want to add?
April: The entire AIS team is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and take pride in a job well done. If you are a current customer then you know firsthand what I am talking about, if you are thinking about becoming a customer you won’t regret making that decision!
